COR (Certificate of Recognition)
The Heavy Construction Safety Association of Saskatchewan has a Certificate of Recognition designed for companies with more than ten employees.

For a company to become certified through the Heavy Construction Safety Association of Saskatchewan Inc., someone in the company would have to take all four of the basic safety courses:

  • WHMIS Train the Trainer one-day course
  • Safety Excellence Leadership two-day course
  • Principles of Health and Safety Management one-day course
  • Auditor Training two-day course
Once the courses are complete, the company must design their Safety Program and document it in their Safety Manual, then put the Safety Program into operation. The Association conducts an internal audit on the company; and, if a score of 80% or higher is achieved, the company calls for an external audit by their auditor. If a score of 80% or higher is achieved, a Certificate of Recognition is then awarded.

To maintain a Certificate, the company must pass a yearly Internal Audit (minimum score 80%) and, on the third year, pass an external audit (minimum score 80%).
